Frequently Asked Questions about the smiONE™ Visa® Prepaid Card

During the next several months, the Family Support Payment Center (FSPC) will be changing the prepaid card to which support payments are deposited. The smiONE Visa Prepaid Card will be replacing the SecuritE™ Card.

Do I need to request that an smiONE Visa Prepaid Card be sent to me to replace my SecuritE Card?

No, the smiONE Visa Prepaid Card will automatically be mailed to you. No application or request is necessary.

What is the smiONE Visa Prepaid Card?

The smiONE Visa Prepaid Card is a reloadable, prepaid card issued by The Bancorp Bank. Support payments received by the FSPC and the State of Missouri will be loaded to the smiONE Visa Prepaid Card. The card provides a secure and cost-effective alternative to carrying cash and paying check cashing fees. It gives you the convenience of a Visa prepaid card, but it is not a credit card.

If I have a balance remaining on my SecuritE Card at the time I receive my new smiONE Visa Prepaid Card, do I continue to use my SecuritE Card?

Yes. DO NOT discard your SecuritE Card if there is money on the card. Continue to use the SecuritE Card until it has a zero balance. Once the balance is zero, you may destroy the SecuritE Card. While your SecuritE Card is active, you may continue to receive a SecuritE Card statement, and you may continue to use SecuritE Card customer service including the toll-free customer service number, website, and text messaging service.

When will I receive my smiONE Visa Prepaid Card?

Watch your mail for information on when you can expect to receive your smiONE Visa Prepaid Card. To ensure you timely receive information and your smiONE Visa Prepaid Card, please update your current mailing address by visiting www.securitecard.com.

When will my support payments be available on my smiONE Visa Prepaid Card?

When making withdrawals from Commerce Bank ATMs, you will get a message regarding a surcharge. You will need to accept the surcharge to complete the transaction. If the transaction is your first withdrawal from a Commerce Bank ATM since your last card load/deposit, the surcharge will be credited back to your card account on the same business day.
